Our Catering Services & Meal Choices- Always freshly prepared

At Piskula Catering, we take pride in providing school children with healthy, homemade meals. Our diverse selection of nutritious meals are prepared every day, and promise great taste every time. We source only the freshest ingredients, from firm fruits and vegetables packed with vitamins, to carefully selected meats, all of which ensure high-quality meals.

In addition to our healthy school meals, Piskula Catering also offers our catered food to senior homes and private parties. We strive to strengthen nutritional and balanced eating habits with our menus, and our dedication to this allows us to produce meals of exceptional value. With our specialist catering service, we offer you peace of mind that your meals will not only be highly nutritious, but tasty as well.

Dietary Restrictions and Food Intolerances

We understand that everyone has varying tastes and dietary requirements, and so we cater for dietary variations, including vegetarian, coeliac, and lactose intolerant diets. We also cater to less common intolerances, and ensure all our variant meals are as similar as possible to the choices available on a given day. Piskula Catering strives to provide everyone with meals, regardless of their food allergies or intolerances. If you have a special request, just let us know and we can create a meals suitable to your tastes.

Our Ingredients and Suppliers

In order to promote sustainable eating, Piskula Catering sources the highest quality local ingredients where possible. This allows us to support local suppliers, and deliver fantastic quality meals to all our customers. Additionally, all our ingredients are Red Tractor assured and conform to Fair Trade regulations.



Red Tractor Assured & MSC Certified

All the meat used in our main meals is Red Tractor assured. This means that the meat is sustainably farmed according to a range of safety, hygiene, animal welfare, and environmental regulations stipulated by regulatory bodies. Additionally, it also means that all the meat we use can be traced back to its source at an inspected farm in the UK. All our Fish products are MSC assured.

Fairtrade

Fairtrade products help develop rural farming communities and allow these farmers to grow and reach their full potential. By using Fairtrade products and produce in our tasty school meals, Piskula Catering ethically supports these disadvantaged farmers in developing countries, and ultimately strive to promote sustainable farming.

Free School Meals

Free school meals are lunches that are provided to children whose parents or carers meet certain criteria. In these cases, the school covers the cost of the meal. The necessary criteria includes receipt of any of the following:

Universal Credit
Income Support
Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
Guaranteed Element of State Pension Credit
Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
Child Tax Credit with an annual taxable income (as assessed by HMRC) of less than £16,190 as long as the family are not also in receipt of Working Tax Credit.

At Piskula Catering, we understand the necessity of providing free meals to schools and the students who need them. We therefore offer quality free school meals, including meals that adhere to certain dietary restrictions, to ensure that no child goes without a meal at school.

Homemade Meals
All of the nutritious meals created by the dedicated team at Piskula Catering are carefully made daily using only the highest quality ingredients. We ensure that all our meals are made according to the highest health standards, and our extensive daily selections are sure to suit the taste and preference of even the fussiest eaters. We offer our exquisite meals to a range of clients, including primary and secondary schools, senior homes, and individual parties.

We also offer alternative options for those with special dietary concerns to ensure that we make our top quality meals available to everyone.

School Meals

At Piskula Catering, we take pride in providing schools with hot lunches that not only taste wonderful, but that also offer a high nutritional value. Our lunches are freshly made everyday in our local Somerset kitchen, and come in a range of choices of carefully balanced meals. We also work closely with the schools we supply in an effort to improve general nutrition in children, and provide a consistent, perfect selection of meals.

Sandwiches/ Rolls

As a part of our quality pack lunch meals, we offer a selection of healthy sandwiches that will satisfy any appetite. Our sandwiches cover everything from the most basic combinations like ham and cheese, to a unique, customised selection for the most discerning palates. Our sandwiches can also be customised to suite any dietary restrictions, including dairy and gluten free options.

Our cake flavours include:

Ginger, Suprise Cake, Apple, Toffee, Chocolate, Banana, Carrot, Summer Fruits

Pack Lunches

In addition to our hot meals, we also offer a selection of pack lunches. These pack lunches are available as an alternative to our hot school lunches, or as the perfect lunch on a school trip. We offer a variety of pack lunches, including a filled sandwhich/ roll, fruit, cheese & crackers, raisins, cake. (School trip pack lunches also come with a water bottle).

Cakes

Piskula Catering also offers a variety of delicious homemade cakes, pies, tarts, and crumbles that are the perfect addition to our main meals. We offer cakes in a variety of different flavours and sizes sure to meet any needs, whether to accompany our school lunches, or to help celebrate a special occasion with our catering service.

We also offer a range of surprise cakes, which are cakes sprinkled with delightful treats. We are also able to create cakes suited to any dietary restrictions, including gluten, lactose, and allergen free cakes. Simply speak to us about your requirements, and we will
